Whole Home Renovation in Alexandria: Creating a Warm and Welcoming Home  Working alongside our incredible client and a talented team of contractors and architects, we completely gutted and transformed this Alexandria home, elevating every space while creating a home that feels warm, welcoming, and effortlessly livable. The kitchen is truly the heart of this home. From the sitting room, your eye is immediately drawn to the showstopping unlacquered brass range hood, designed to naturally age and develop a beautiful patina as it is used and loved. A warm wood island gently offsets the white-stained oak cabinetry, while marble slabs bring the entire space together. The design seamlessly flows into the fully outfitted butler’s pantry, complete with every gadget and amenity a home cook, and perhaps even a professional chef, could dream of. Comfortable seating was a priority throughout the home, from the upstairs sitting room, featuring a custom cast-limestone surround, to the newly updated family room. Entertaining was equally important, inspiring the addition of a gorgeous new bar and an updated powder room featuring a floating Calacatta Viola marble vanity. The sweetest mudroom rounds out the downstairs spaces, bringing both function and charm to this hardworking area of the home. Upstairs, the home was transformed into a luxurious private retreat, anchored by a newly renovated primary bathroom. Details such as vanity mirrors inset into the wall paneling, custom cabinetry, and quartzite vanity tops give the space a fresh perspective while maintaining a rich, grounded feel. Additional spaces include the sweetest little girls’ room, where carefully coordinated wallpaper and drapery create a charming, layered retreat. The adjoining full bath carries the same playful spirit through thoughtful details and sweet accents designed to transition beautifully from childhood into the teenage years. The result is a home that feels warm, welcoming, and beautifully suited to the way this family lives. We are thrilled with the final product and so grateful to have worked alongside such a wonderful client and talented project team.
